The Elyssa Kellerman Foundation Current Projects
Project: Mother Photo Book
Elyssa left behind 25 years of incredible wildlife photography. We will be compiling her life’s work and art into a memorial book, honoring all Mothers. Her work captured the sacrifices mother animals make for their young just as we plan to memorialize the sacrifices she made for her family.
Project: Costa Rica Butterfly Garden & Reforestation
Elyssa dedicated her life force energy into the conservation of many natural habitats, but her biggest passion was creating thriving habitats for the pollinators. We will be planting massive butterfly sanctuaries in Costa Rica in a memorial garden for Elyssa.
Project: Indigenous Land Conservation
Elyssa fundamentally understood that indigenous people are on the front line of preservation and conservation efforts. Protecting and supporting indigenous communities directly protects and supports nature and the environment. By supporting indigenous conservation and cultural efforts, we will be supporting the revitalization of nature itself.
Elyssa’s Story
Elyssa was renowned in the wildlife conservation community for her captivating photography. She dedicated over two decades to capturing the untamed beauty of our planet's most extraordinary creatures. She fearlessly ventured into the world's most remote and perilous corners, from the Amazon treetops to the African savannah, seeking the perfect shot that would inspire us all to protect these majestic animals while uniquely capturing the beauty and spirit of each creature. Together, we can ensure that Elyssa's work continues to inspire generations to come, igniting a spark for the conservation of our planet's precious biodiversity.
